Brea Mall Dj (Los Angeles Dj serving Burbank, Hollywood, Pasadena, Culver City, and Glendale)

We are living in a Barbie world at the moment. Seem like that movie is blowing up and they were having a Barbie theme at the Brea Mall. All the cosmetic section was sporting Barbie shirts. I have been at this mall a few times already and it was being a good time every time. Most djs could just come by and just start playing what they feel but for me I have to prep since I don’t want to play the same kind of music over and over. I want it to be different every time I play. I had the instruction to play fun positive music. Most folks who play at retail stores usually play a certain type of music and let it ride the whole time. That is not me and I want it to be as diverse as possible. There were at least 8 folks who came by to tell me they liked the diversity of the music. I talked to one worker who stated the dj before playing 90s  songs over a house beat. That could be fun but a little of the same. I try to find songs that everyone knows and play it in the original format as possible. We did play a lot of Spanish cumbias and did a lot of old school music. This time we did 90s alternative, freestyle, 90s house, 90s pop, cumbia, Spanish ranchera. I even threw in Barbie Girl since it was the theme. Most djs would be afraid to play that but I have no fear. It was a very fun vibe at the Brea mall.

Two Home Comings back to back Nights in November (Bay Area dj serving San Jose, Morgan Hill and Gilroy)

Black and White Affair were in Sunnyvale and San Jose the first week of November to celebrate Homecoming with two different high schools. Both playlists were way different but both parties were way fun!

The Kings Academy has always been a fun place to dj at.  The coordinator shared their approved playlist and we followed it to a t. We did their homecoming last year and their prom and this year we are up again for their homecoming. This is our latest homecoming as timewise. It started around 9 15 and it went till 11:45 pm. They actually play the game Friday then straight after the game its party time. We find the students to be very respectful and overall well mannered folks. It was again a fun night in Sunnyvale.

The next day we were at down town and played at a local high school. We had a list we worked off but we had more to work with and had their list as the baseline and we incorporated other songs that fit the vibe we were feeling.  Everyone was dressed nice and they were ready to party. We have a little more flexibility with the playlist so we read the crowd and gave them what they wanted. From the vibes, students wanted latin music so we gave them latin music. We also played the current hip hop but it was a good night downtown.

How much is a Spanish Dj for latin parties in California? (Bay Area Dj serving San Jose, Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Livermore, Fremont, Milpitas)

Some people have no idea what a dj cost these days since they never hired one before. Not everyone can dj a Spanish event. They have to really know the music to truly rock a party.

For a wedding, in case they want a Spanish Emcee then it will cost more since you may have an Emcee plus a dj who would be mixer. It all depends on how well you want the Spanish Spoken.

For me, my Spanish is ok. Like If I had to give it a rate, I give it a 4 out of 10. I can communicate and understand everything in Spanish but I would feel comfortable with bringing a Spanish Emcee to the event. I know Spanish music pretty well. How much more would it be to have a Spanish Emcee. It can range from 200 to 500 dollars more to have a Spanish Emcee.

If you just wanted Spanish music and some basic Spanish Announcements it would cost way less. Hourly Spanish/ English  djs in California can change 150 to 300 per hour. They are unique since they have a music collection and they can usually rock a party in English or in Spanish.

All a dj need would be a basic set up of a controller and 2 speakers. So, a four-hour event would good from 600 to 1200 dollars. Of course, Spanish Weddings would cost more than there is way more preparation.

California Latin Spanish Birthday Party: What is Needed? (Bay Area Dj serving San Jose, Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Livermore, Fremont, Milpitas, Mountain View, Santa Clara and Pleasanton)

First and foremost, you need a dj who is familiar with the classic Spanish jams and with the new music that is coming out. I tend to lean toward the classics but if given a heads up then I can add the new Spanish music that to the mix. I usually get a list from the client and add that to my proven hits to add to the playlist. I want to play as much as their list I can plus adding ones I know will bring excitement to the dance floor.

Usually for this Spanish Birthday events there is food involved. We tend to play some classic Spanish songs but save the dance Spanish songs for later for the dance floor. Some of these dinner songs can be some bachata or ranchera songs or maybe some Luis Miguel Love songs. Again, it all depends on what part of Latin America the guests are coming from. The Dinner portion of the night usually last for an hour. There may be a cocktail or appetizer portion of the night when the party starts before dinner kicks in. During cocktail/ appetizer hour the music can be more festive to get folks in the party mood. It would be ok to play dance music since folks are not sitting down having dinner. When it does become dinner time, it would be ideal to tame it a bit so folks aren’t moving too much in their seats when they are eating.
