Holiday Company Party at Capital Club in San Jose (Bay Area Dj Serving San Jose, Gilroy and Morgan Hill)

This is the second year we are doing this law firms xmas party. It was located at the Capital Club so there was a lot of traffic on the street due to Christmas in the Park in downtown San Jose so a lot of folks came late. I came 2 hours early since I know I have to take my gear up 17 floors. It is a lot of work to get all the gear up there but the views make it worth it. The first two hours it was all Christmas classics. Everything people would hear when they were young then at the tail end I would do the covers of todays stars of doing of the classics.  During that time the staff was serving appetizers and cocktails were being served. Then we made the annoucent for dinner;

Then it was game time! Game contest was to get whip cream in their mouth. Participants would put whip cream on their wrist and slap their forearm then try to catch the whip cream with their mouth. They had a few rounds of that.  On the spot, I was able to find the jeopardy sound and a drum roll with limite internet access but made it happen.

After it was dance time. We were all about the 80s, funk and disco. This was my 3rd time being a Capital Club and the staff was very helpful and super nice. Capital Club has one of the best views of the city plus a great staff and fabulous food so it’s a good place to have a function.

Setting up a Big Corporate Event in San Jose (Bay Area Dj serving San Jose, Morgan Hill and Gilroy)

To throw a big corporate event there has to be collaboration. You have to have the main point person then you have to delegate responsibilities. I was able to work with a team from Lockeed Martin. We had constant communication and everything ran smooth.

They located a big venue downtown San Jose, the Guild House. Its huge and it is a creative space. There were tables so people can play board games and then different areas to play video games. Also for this event there was a photo booth.  Guild House had folks passing out delicious appetizers. Dinner was picked up by the side tables and they had choices of tamales and tostadas and chips and salsa/guacamole.

I gave them a playlist to cover many genres. We decided to move out the country songs and replace them with Christmas songs.  We were mostly playing 80s and 90s and 00s pop music. The first hour or so we went for background music and then later we got a little more aggressive with danceable music. We did get a little louder to get folks on the dance floor and it worked. It seemed like the Latin music is what got folks ready for the dance floor. 85 percent of the music was English but the Spanish music was got the ants in the pants.  For 600 folks we brought 2 -3 way speakers and 4 tops. It was more than enough for the space.

Overall it was a successful event with good food, a nice venue, and good people who made it a good time for all.

Sunnyvale Corporate Event (Bay Area Dj serving San Jose, Sunnyvale and Palo Alto)

We had a call to do a big corporate event in Sunnyvale.  I asked them how many people will be present and they said their should be close to 1000 folks. We made sure we had plenty of sound that day. There was also a Band Playing. We were in charge of making announcements.  The big worry was to figure out where the stage was since it was a huge campus but it was easy to find and the staff made it easily accessible. They had not had a big event like this in years

Company hosted an amazing family day event for their employees and family, which was a pleasure for me to be part of. As much is 10 different food trucks, beautiful, car show, robotics presentations, and Chicago style stepping dance show that was hosted by one of their employees. Guest of all ages we’re all over enjoying good food and great music. I was happy to receive amount of compliments for providing music from the 70s and 80s dance and funk. Some hits enjoyed. Include the song requested by a guest “get up Offa that Thing by James Brown, September, by Earth, Wind and Fire, Billie, Jean, by Michael Jackson, Girls Just Wanna have Fun by Cyndi Lauper Dancing Queen by ABBA and tainted love by Soft Cell. The game plan was to have music from little kids to 70 year olds. We had to get really popular music ranging from 70s to current times.

The best DJs understand how to read a crowd and know what music will keep them engaged throughout the evening. Sat Holiday Party in San Ramon and Monday Holiday Party in Cupertino (Bay Area dj serving San Jose, San Ramon, Cupertino and Mountain View)

We have done this holiday party for 3 years. Originally we did a party the party in San Jose which was a good time. Then the following year they wanted me to do it in Napa. It was a little far for me but since they really knew how to throw a party then I did that party too.  The pandemic hit and they have not had any holiday parties and then we signed up to do their holiday event in San Ramon. I can tell that this company is a good one to work for. The employees became game show players. They would give out oodles of prizes. It did remind me of Oprah when she says you win a prize and you win a prize. They would give out super nice prizes such as ipads and tvs. Once all the games are done then it was time for the dance floor to fill up. They liked a variety of all kinds of music and keep the festive vibe the whole night.

Two nights later we were playing in Cupertino for a holiday party for a hotel. We were all industry folks since we were doing the function on a Monday. Friday and Saturday are always parties for the regular folks but industry folks will have their events on an off night. But if you came to see the party then you would not have thought it was a Monday night. Industry folks really know how to let loose.

5 Ideas for Fun Corporate Events with DJs in Los Angeles Area (Burbank Dj serving the Los Angeles Area such as Glendale, Santa Clarita, Pasadena, Toluca Lake)

When you spend time on a corporate event, you want to make sure you can stand out to your audience. As an experienced DJ, I can tell you that there are several types of corporate events where having a DJ present can significantly elevate the atmosphere, leaving your attendees thrilled and your company with good PR.

1.         Product Launches

Product launches have really shifted over time. What once occurred with little fanfare is now often a huge event. There is certainly good reason for this as a successful product launch can generate a ton of buzz.

Keep your attendees excited throughout the event by hiring a professional DJ. The right Los Angeles DJ will keep your audience engaged before and after the official program and announcements. It sets a great mood and also helps ensure that you have the appropriate sound setup for the event.

2.         Holiday Parties

Perhaps one of the most traditional corporate events is the holiday party. When done right, these serve as a great way to help employees bond and provide a well-deserved thank you for a year of hard work. However, they can also come off stale and uncomfortable.

There are many things that go into planning an effective corporate holiday party. Having a quality DJ is a good way to help promote the vibe you’re looking for and keep employees engaged. Our corporate event DJs in Los Angeles can help convey the exact mood you want!

3.         Team Building

When you think about team building, you probably don’t think about music. After all, most corporate team building involves things like bringing in trainers and speakers, heading into the woods for a retreat, or hitting a high ropes course to challenge yourselves.

For extended team building like all-day events or weekend retreats, hiring a Los Angeles DJ is a great way to provide some loosely structured fun. Whether you want to have a dance contest or just let people groove how they wish, getting your staff on the dance floor can help them bond in a fun manner outside of the day’s more formal programs.

4.         Charity Events

Many corporations provide contributions to various charities. After all, being socially conscious is an important part of branding while also allowing you to give back to a good cause. Many charity events take the form of galas, which are perfect for Los Angeles DJs. Help your attendees dance the night away with a silent disco or traditional dance experience.

However, having live music can also help keep the excitement level up for other types of charity events. Whether you are sponsoring a 5K fundraiser or community picnic, having music and a good sound system always comes in handy.

5.         Awards Banquet

If you’re thinking of the classic episode of The Office, you aren’t alone on this one. However, awards banquets are a staple when it comes to corporate events. And unlike the image that may be in your mind, they can be done quite well, making it fun and memorable for your employees.

Hiring one of our amazing Los Angeles DJs will be a great addition for your awards night. In addition to providing ongoing background music, this makes for a great sound setup for the actual main program.

Corporate Events in the Bay Area (Bay Area dj serving Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Milpitas, Morgan Hill and now serving Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, and Los Angeles)

Recently I have been getting inquiries for Corporate events in the middle of the day. Before this year I would get the calls to do the Holiday party and they had an agenda to follow. Usually at these events employees get recognized and often times they have a raffle to build excitement. The bosses would give some motivational speeches and the folks would have a good time.

These new inquiries recently are for shorter amount of time so about 2 to 3 hours in the middle of the day. I believe more and more companies are doing this. Since the pandemic shut down a lot of activities companies are now having more events to show appreciation to their staff. It does make a huge difference when companies have network and social events for their staff. I worked a day job where my principals would do a lot to bring us together and celebrate us. But the last principal (I am away from that now and ten times happier I may add)  had never showed any appreciation and work was not as fun anymore as it was when we had more functions as a staff.

These corporate events do not need to be fancy. Simple does work. Why not have a catered lunch with a guest speaker with music. Or make it a fun team event and compete for prizes to build up team with an upbeat soundtrack.  It does not need to be fancy or expensive. It makes the work day fun and festive and your staff will appreciate it.

Real Events: Corporate Event at Applied Materials in Sunnyvale (Bay Area Dj Serving San Jose and Sunnyvale and Mountain View)

When you think of Silicon Valley Big tech powerhouse Applied Materials would be in that conversation. They know how to take care of their employees. They seemed so happy to spend lunch together. They had different campuses come to the Sunnyvale location. They did show love to the new employees by giving them an opportunity to talk about themselves and have a shot of a gift card. It was actually a shot to win. They had the option to shoot a basket or go for a soccer goal. But before that even happen they had Boba for everyone and all kinds of catered lunches.

The host was joyous and kept the event flowing with his dad jokes and his energy. They had several teams compete for the best time. They had five per group and they had to do some activities and they kept track of their time. They had to walk together in unison and knock off an item off a poie. The teams were divided by department so it built more team chemistry. After the obstacle course they went to the basketball court. The team had to do a layup. Free-throw and a three pointer. Once they made the three pointer then they beeped a horn and the time was recorded.

It was a very festive event that I coordinated with the energy with 70s, 80s and 90s music. I put in some K-Pop in there but also threw in some fun Bollywood. It was a very fun time during lunch and a very good way to put some fun in the workplace.
