Latin Birthday Party In Morgan Hill (Bay Area Dj serving San Jose, Saratoga, Los Gatos, Mountain View, Milpitas, Sunnyvale and Morgan Hill)

We did this Birthday party in Morgan Hill a few years back. I actually did it myself and it was tons of fun. They invited all these other food vendors so it was a yummy event. All the latin ladies were dancing while their husbands sat down and chatted with one another. They did call me the following year last minute and we were not able to book us since we were already booked and they went with another dj. Then they called us again last minute and I was planning to do a Bay Area wedding with my dj but had my dj do the Latin event in Morgan Hill. I wanted to make sure we took care of our repeat customer.

What better Saturday to celebrate your birthday than Beautiful summer night in the Bay Area! Spacious backyard, tacos, refreshment, and a dance floor! Lets not forget to toss the ipod out and get a great dj with all the hits you need! 80s fun and new wave, as well as some crossover latino hits kept the dance floor filled from beginning to end, with a small break to eat some delicious tacos! Hits that made people stick the the dance floor include Many hits from Timbiriche (si No es Ahora Accelerar, and Mexico) to just name a few, Hips Don’t Lie- Shakira, On the Floor-Pitbull and Jlo, Bamboleo by the Gypsy Kings, Dancing Queen by Abba, and  Girls Just Want to Have Fun by Cindy Lauper!

Real Life Event: 60 year old Bday   Party in San Jose Club House (Bay Area Dj serving San Jose, Milpitas and Gilroy)

The San Jose Club House offered a perfect setting for the 60th birthday bash of the guest of honor. The party was dedicated to honoring the older generations with a night full of dancing, music, and entertainment from decades past. To help make sure everyone could be heard clearly, we put in place wireless mics so everyone could enjoy speeches without any technical issues. As for the background music, we made sure to include classic hits from the 70s and 80s to keep up with the theme of the party. It was an enjoyable evening spent amongst friends and family, and even better that it was on a Sunday! For something extra special, we also honored a request by the birthday boy himself: da butt by EU! Everyone had a great time celebrating this milestone day and it's safe to say that this event will be fondly remembered by all who attended.

Real Life Event: Burbank NYE/Bday Party (Los Angeles Dj serving Burbank, Santa Clarita, Reseda, Studio City, Glendale, and Pasadena)

They say it never rains in So Cal and the rain gods were letting us have it in California for all that doubt that we had. I was up North in the Bay Area and it was nonstop and it followed me when I went back to Burbank. New Years Eve night it was raining cats and dogs but the show must go on! Initially I was supposed to be playing outside but with the taco guy out there and the rain coming down there was not any room back there. So Inside I went. We had a little space to work with but with some help we repositioned the couch to make sure we had enough space for the speakers.

The party planner provided the playlist so I had to a lot to work with. It was a fun collection of 80s, 90s, 2000s and 2010s music. I did add some of the newest hip hop but I stuck with the classics for the night. I do a lot of school events but this party was for folks in their 30s so we went old school. I believe the most recent song I played had to be like 5 years old. I take pride is playing a little bit of everything to satisfy the folks thirst for hits.

When I got there they were playing 90s alternative music so I continued with that vibe. It is good to pay attention to details like that. Every event is different so it is good to prepare for each event to make it go smooth as possible.

California Latin Spanish Birthday Party: What is Needed? (Bay Area Dj serving San Jose, Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Livermore, Fremont, Milpitas, Mountain View, Santa Clara and Pleasanton)

First and foremost, you need a dj who is familiar with the classic Spanish jams and with the new music that is coming out. I tend to lean toward the classics but if given a heads up then I can add the new Spanish music that to the mix. I usually get a list from the client and add that to my proven hits to add to the playlist. I want to play as much as their list I can plus adding ones I know will bring excitement to the dance floor.

Usually for this Spanish Birthday events there is food involved. We tend to play some classic Spanish songs but save the dance Spanish songs for later for the dance floor. Some of these dinner songs can be some bachata or ranchera songs or maybe some Luis Miguel Love songs. Again, it all depends on what part of Latin America the guests are coming from. The Dinner portion of the night usually last for an hour. There may be a cocktail or appetizer portion of the night when the party starts before dinner kicks in. During cocktail/ appetizer hour the music can be more festive to get folks in the party mood. It would be ok to play dance music since folks are not sitting down having dinner. When it does become dinner time, it would be ideal to tame it a bit so folks aren’t moving too much in their seats when they are eating.

Please contact Black and White Affair Dj Services for your Spanish Latin Events. We specialize in playing Cumbia, Banda, Salsa, Reggaeton, and Ranchera music.  Please call Black and White Affair Dj for your latin party.

Private Party at the Double Tree Hilton Campbell (Bay Area Dj serving San Jose, Morgan Hill, Pleasanton, Livermore, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Fremont, Newark, Aptos, Cupertino and Milpitas)

Right before new years I got to be part of a private party. It was from a family I djed before at a different venue and they wanted to celebrate different events since everyone was locked down for so long. Miss L gave me a good list to work with. She had a lot of songs she grew up listening to plus she had different family members share their list with her. It was a mix of old school and good dance music. We traveled from the 50s sock hop era with stops with 70s classic rock, and 90s dance.

The event was at the Double Tree at the Pruneyard in Campbell. They had a banquet room on the second floor. They had around 7 tables and there were under 30 folks in attendance. There was a dance floor there. It was cute since the staff wanted to put a table on the dance floor for appetizers and Miss L was not going to have it. She was like we are going to dance the whole night so please move the table elsewhere. She was right. Dancing was happening the whole night. Double Tree even had my silverware ready on my table but I did not have a chance to eat since there was always someone dancing. Typically, you play music with low to medium energy during dinner time but we were putting up the energy in high gear.

Venue space was nice and staff was very courtesy. Guests were polite and loved to dance. It was a good night!
