A 50th Birthday Celebration at Dante Robere Vineyards in Livermore

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of being part of an unforgettable 50th birthday celebration at Dante Robere Vineyards in beautiful Livermore, California. Arriving about an hour and fifteen minutes before the festivities began, the vineyard was already bustling with energy and anticipation. The staff greeted me warmly and asked whether I’d be setting up indoors or outdoors—after a quick check with the event coordinator, it was confirmed that I’d be indoors for the main event.

Dante Robere Vineyards offers a gorgeous setting, and their outdoor patio was packed with guests enjoying wine and dinner under the spring sky. The organizers asked if I could run a speaker outside so the music could be enjoyed throughout the space—and of course, we made it happen!

The birthday honoree came prepared with a playlist packed with classics. We kicked off the evening with a mix of '80s pop for the dinner portion, setting a nostalgic and upbeat tone. Guests were swaying, smiling, and enjoying every minute of it.

As the sun set and the party moved back indoors, we transitioned into a full-blown '90s dance party. From hip hop to boy bands, the old-school jams had everyone on their feet, reliving memories and creating new ones.

It was a night filled with laughter, dancing, and great wine. Dante Robere Vineyards proved to be the perfect venue—its blend of rustic charm and modern amenities made it ideal for celebrating life’s milestones.

If you're looking for a Livermore winery to host a birthday party or special event, I highly recommend checking out Dante Robere. Great vibes, stunning views, and a team that truly knows how to help make magic happen.

Quinceañera in Seaside: A Memorable Celebration with Cumbia and More

Hosting a quinceañera in Seaside, part of the beautiful Bay Area, is always a special experience. I was fortunate enough to be called in just a week before the big day to DJ for this lively event, serving San Jose, Seaside, Monterey, Morgan Hill, and Gilroy. When preparing for any event, especially a quinceañera, I always ask for a playlist to get a sense of the vibe the hosts envision. Usually, this includes a mix of Spanish and English music. However, this particular celebration had a unique request: an all-cumbia playlist.

The request was clear — cumbias all night long! It was a fun challenge, and I made sure to tailor the music to the crowd. I kicked off the event by playing some old-school ranchera music during dinner to give the older guests something familiar. However, as the night progressed, the hosts asked for the party to fully embrace cumbias from start to finish, and that’s exactly what we did!

From the dance floor to the special father-daughter dance, we kept the energy high with a variety of cumbias, merengues, and even some salsa. After the cake cutting, I mixed in a few English songs, but we quickly returned to the beloved cumbia rhythms that kept everyone dancing all night long. The fun didn’t stop there — the energy was so contagious that we ended up extending the dance portion of the night by an hour!

Whether it’s a quinceañera in Seaside, Monterey, or anywhere in the Bay Area, providing the perfect soundtrack for such a meaningful event is a joy. If you’re planning a celebration, be sure to consider a unique playlist that reflects your family’s style and vibe — just like this unforgettable Seaside quinceañera!

Unforgettable Bocce Party in Santa Clara: Live Music, Fun & Dancing

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of performing at a fantastic bocce party in Santa Clara. The event was a perfect blend of great music, laughter, and community, making it a truly memorable night for everyone involved.

Pre-Event Planning for a Seamless Experience

A few days before the party, I met with the hosts—Mom and Dad—at the venue to go over the event details. They provided the agenda, and we reviewed everything to ensure a smooth flow. This preparation helped me tailor the music selection to match the different phases of the event.

Setting the Mood with Live Instrumental Covers

As guests arrived and enjoyed cocktail hour, I played instrumental covers to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The soft melodies set the perfect tone for mingling and socializing.

Dinner with Fun Pop Music & a Bocce Ceremony

During dinner, we transitioned into upbeat pop music, adding a fun energy to the meal. Then came the much-anticipated bocce ceremony, where the crowd gathered to celebrate the game and its winners.

Hosting the Shoe Game & Getting Everyone Dancing

One of the highlights of the night was the classic Shoe Game! I had the honor of playing game show host, keeping the energy high and the audience engaged with laughter and cheers. Once the game wrapped up, we got everyone—young and old—on the dance floor. The mix of music appealed to all age groups, ensuring a lively and unforgettable celebration.

DJing a Birthday Bash in Northridge — Reggaeton, Cumbias & 2000s Hip-Hop Hits

Last year, I had the pleasure of DJing an unforgettable birthday party in Northridge, and to my excitement, the same crew called me back for another round at the same venue this year. They wanted a fresh mix of reggaeton and Mexican regional tracks, so I knew this was going to be a lively event with plenty of opportunity to get creative.

The energy was incredible from the start. They came ready with a lot of reggaeton requests, which kept the vibe moving and the dance floor packed. But I really wanted to take it up a notch — sometimes you need a different rhythm to get everyone fully involved. That’s when I switched things up with classic cumbias, and it did exactly what I hoped.

Suddenly, the entire party was moving in sync, spinning and smiling. There's just something about those timeless cumbia beats that hit differently at celebrations like these.

Later in the night, I hit them with a throwback 2000s hip-hop set. The crowd lit up when those familiar beats dropped — think bangers from the likes of Nelly, Missy Elliott, and classic West Coast hits. The nostalgic energy filled the room as people rapped along and danced like it was prom night all over again.

What made this event truly special was seeing the familiar faces from last year and building on that connection. It's a privilege when people trust you to create the soundtrack for their celebration, year after year.

If you're planning an event and want a DJ who can blend genres and keep the crowd hyped all night, let’s make it happen! From reggaeton and hip-hop to cumbias and regional classics, I've got you covered.

Latin Party in Santa Clara (Bay Area Dj serving San Jose, Palo Alto, Gilroy and Santa Clara)

We had a Latin party at an apartment complex. When I got there, they were playing a blue tooth speaker then I was going to go from 9 to 12. They had a taco guy serving up the Mexican Food. We were stationed in the parking lot area. We did all cumbias and salsa music for the birthday party. We did not get any complaints. I talked to the host to see how he was able to throw a party with a dj and no one called to complained. He said he wrote a letter to all the neighbors around him. Here are some other tips on:

How to Throw a Party at an Apartment Complex?

1.         Rules:  Check into the lease to find out about the noise limit and how many guests can attend and the use of shared areas.

2.         Pick the correct spot: Look into having the party in the apartment or the clubhouse or pool area.

3.         Give the neighbors a heads up:  Like the party I did, the couple notified the neighbors via letter.

4.         Make the Guest list: Be reasonable with guest list and do not try to overdue it.

5.         Be Considerate with the Sound: Avoid having the dj bring subwoofers. Keep it at a good volume.

6.         Food and Drinks: Get easy finger foods and self serve drinks.

7.         Cleaning Up: Have trash areas easily to be accessible. Clean up after the party so to keep the neighbors in good standing.

With enough planning, you can have an enjoyable party that will not irritate the neighbors as much.

50th Birthday celebration in Encino (Los Angeles Dj serving Burbank, Encino, Hollywood and Glendale)

We were outside for the celebration. I was prepared with many layers of clothing but the guests did have warming posts. I was surprised since some guests had short sleeve shirts. It was a disco themed party so many wanted to show their cute disco outfits. We had a very open format playlist.  A big portion of it was all dance music. We had some disco and a lot of 90s music on the list. There were a few country songs on the list so I made sure I got that on while the folks were eating. We did play some sing a longs during the dinner portion of the night. The caterers provided Mexican food. First time I saw the caterer dance and led with line dances. Anytime any 90s music came on he would jump on the dance floor and sing along with the words. It was a fun vibe through out the night. The goal was to play  as many  line dances as possible. Sometimes I only do like one to two line dances but we went through like 7 or 8 line dances.

It was a very intimate party. The neighbors did ask to turn down the bass and we did and repositioned the speakers so it was not too loud for the neighbors.

For most locations, it is about keeping the music at a good volume till 10 then you have  to either turn it way down or take the party indoors. But the best best to have neighbors not complain is to invite the neighbors to the party or have a good relationship with them and notify them that there will be music going on.

Real Life Events: Customer Appreciation Halloween Party at a Apartment Complex (Bay Area Dj serving San Jose, Campbell, Morgan Hill, and Gilroy)

Real Life Events: Customer Appreciation Halloween Party at a Apartment Complex (Bay Area Dj serving San Jose, Campbell, Morgan Hill, and Gilroy)

I really enjoy working with this Apartment complex located in Campbell. This is the second event we have done this year with them. They tell me what they need and give me a good list to work from. A lot of the songs were r&b songs with some being new and some older. A few country songs were sprinkled in the mix too. They did a fantastic job decorating the area. Above where I was stationed there was 6-foot black spider. The swimming pool area was decorated with spider webs and in the pool were balloons from the movie It. In the casino room the windows were blacked out and there was blood all over the place. This had to be one of the best decorated spots I ever played it.

The taco people were there handing out tacos to the folks and they had bartenders making spooky drinks. I can tell that this Apartment complex take care of their folks. I never hear of places doing nice things like this. They had a summer party and now a Halloween party.

So they had me put a speaker in the spooky room where they had tables and another speaker toward the swimming pool. So everyone could hear the music and hear the announcements. We did have a costume contest in which we voted for the scariest, most creative and most realistic. At the end we had some dancing with 80s music. It was a fun event and loved the fact that the apartment threw it for its people.
