The first homecoming took place indoors, transforming the student union into a vibrant dance floor. The DJ kept the crowd moving with a mix of older pop hits that everyone could sing along to — think early 2000s throwbacks and timeless anthems that never go out of style. Between the shimmering lights and the crowd’s energy, it was the perfect blend of nostalgia and high school fun.

Meanwhile, just a few miles away, and a  week later, another East San Jose homecoming took the celebration outdoors. Under the stars, students danced the night away surrounded by cool fall air and beautiful lighting. This event leaned a bit more toward semi-current hip hop tracks, blending in some classic favorites to keep everyone on their feet. The outdoor setup gave it a festival-like feel — open, lively, and full of great energy from start to finish.

Both homecomings showed what makes East San Jose so special — a community that knows how to celebrate together. Whether inside or outside, it was all about joy, connection, and music that moved everyone. This year’s Trunk or Treat in Burbank at our local elementary school was an absolute hit! After last month’s lively Back-to-School Night, we kept the fun rolling with a Halloween celebration full of music, games, and community spirit.

The evening kicked off with upbeat, danceable Halloween tracks that had both kids and parents moving to the rhythm. While our Back-to-School Night was more “poppy,” this time we turned up the energy with festive hits perfect for dancing and spooky fun. From the moment the first song played, everyone knew it was going to be a night to remember.

Students had a blast playing games like “Wrap the Mummy,” where they raced to cover friends in toilet paper, and “Ring Toss on the Cone Hat,” which turned out to be a crowd favorite. The laughter and excitement filled the air as each grade competed in friendly challenges for prizes and bragging rights.

When the competitions wrapped up, it was time to dance! We got everyone involved — kids, parents, and even teachers — with classic group dances like the Conga Line and Line Dancing. The energy was contagious, and soon the whole crowd was on their feet.

Of course, no Trunk or Treat would be complete without the decorated cars! Families went all out this year, transforming their trunks into spooky, funny, and creative masterpieces. There were contests for originality and presentation, and every car handed out plenty of candy to happy trick-or-treaters.

Our Burbank Trunk or Treat event was more than just Halloween fun — it was a wonderful way to bring our school community together once again. We can’t wait to see what creative surprises next year will bring!

We had an incredible time once again bringing the energy and music to this year’s Halloween event at the Campbell apartments! A few years ago, we had the pleasure of hosting a fun-filled summer bash at the same location, and last year’s Halloween celebration was such a hit that we were thrilled to be invited back for round two.

This year’s event was bigger and better than ever! We provided the background music as guests arrived and enjoyed delicious food and drinks. The festive setup, creative costumes, and lively atmosphere made it the perfect night for residents to relax, mingle, and get into the Halloween spirit.

As the evening went on, things turned up a notch with a full-on dance party. Once everyone finished munching, we got the crowd moving with a mix of classic Halloween tunes—from “Thriller” to “Monster Mash”—blended with today’s hottest hits. Our goal was to keep the dance floor packed and the vibes high, and judging by the energy in the room, we nailed it!

We love being part of community events like this one. The management team at the Campbell apartments always does an amazing job organizing these get-togethers, and it’s great to see residents come together for some fun and connection.

The main event starts with opening remarks  by one of the leads, followed by the National Anthem and a performance from the Gilroy Rodeo Flag Team. Watch thrilling demonstrations like Join Up, Hoga, and Barrel Racing. Don’t miss Pole Bending, Goat Tying, and a special singing performance by Elena. We had to  play the instrumental

After the action, the live auction begins—featuring horses such as Chula, Pongo, and Priscilla. Two students will share quick, heartfelt stories about their experiences in the program, adding inspiration to the evening’s excitement.
