Quinceanera San  Martin (Bay Area Dj serving San Jose, Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Livermore, Fremont, Milpitas, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara and Pleasanton)

I got a call to do a Quince about a month before the event. A quince takes time to prepare since there is a lot to ponder. What events do we want to do in the quince? How traditional do we want it to be?

We were fortunate enough to have it at a spacious San Martin Home. We could be as loud or quite as we like and have as much light as we could since we had a lot of room to work with.

We always need a grand entrance and the birthday girl came out with Turn Down For What. Right after that they went straight to the Baile Sopresa. Then we did a little dancing then we went into dinner. When dinner was announced the parents did a thank you speech for the guests.

Then it was time to do some quince events. There was the shoe exchange which was sneakers into cowboy boots which was done with the dad and the quince. Then the crowning was done by the mom and the birthday girl. And finally the sisters presented the doll which was wearing the same type of dress as the quince.

After that then we did the 15 Candle presentation where 15 people who are significant were called up one by one to be with the birthday girl.

Then they had open mic speeches then we went straight to cake with the mananitas.

After that it was party time with a mix of cumbias, pop, and west coast old school hip hop.

Setting up my Latest Quincenera (Spanish/English Dj serving San Jose, Milpitas, Morgan Hill, Livermore, Mountain View, Santa Clara, Palo Alto, and Gilroy)

When to comes to setting up events there are three categories. Weddings get so much prep work. Many Hours go into setting up wedding. There are many virtual meetings or phone calls that go into it. The second category is the quincenera category. There is a lot of prepping but not as much as a wedding. The last category is a birthday party where they set up a playlist and you play maybe dinner music then you throw in the dance music.

For a quincenera, you need to get the special songs for the events. Guests are doing a special dance so the dj has to make sure they get the exact edit for it so they can do the dance with all their moves. They can also include a waltz but these days a lot of folks are picking and choosing what events they decide to keep and do without.

I got a playlist for the guest of honor and she also shared songs that her mom enjoys. There were not too many Spanish songs on the list but I will prepare some classic Spanish songs for the older folks. Always ask for part of Latin America the guests are from since not all Latin music is appreciated by different groups.

We have spoken a few times on the phone already but we will need one more call to touch base to make sure we are all on the same page and I am looking forward to the event.  Call Bwadj for your next latin event.

How to Hire the Best Quinceanera Dj in the Bay Area (San Jose, Morgan Hill, Gilroy, San Francisco and Fremont)

One of the most important aspects of a Quince is finding the right dj to provide the soundtrack for your big event.  There are many items to make the party a success but the music sets the vibe for the whole event. In the Bay Area there are so many djs to choose from and we make it easy to help you decide.

Key Factors to Look For:

Dj will have social proof that they are good at what they do. Clients can look up google reviews and yelp reviews to get the gist of what kind of work the dj does. Ideally you want to select someone who has 5 stars. You would also want to see if the dj has experience with Spanish music if you are going to have Spanish music played at your party.

Dj will promptly respond to their clients via phone or email. Fast responses show professionalism.

Dj will be a professional and not a friend who has a laptop with rented speakers. A Quinceanera party is so similar to a wedding that it needs a time keeper to keep everything on track. Also you want someone how has experience with doing multiple events.

Dj will understand the playlist given and generate more songs that go with it

Dj will have Microphones, speakers, and lights.

Expenses of a Quinceanera in the Bay Area (San Jose, Oakland, San Francisco, Gilroy)

When it comes to the Bay Area, Real estate is the most expensive in the country. Also when one has to rent a venue that will be the one of the biggest expense of the big event. Saturdays tend to be the most expensive day to hold the event but the non busy days can be considered if it is a budget issue or if the venue is already booked. Venues can be as low as $500 but go as high as $2500 depending how big and fancy one wants their venue.

If one is having a Quinceanera mass, it is recommended to donate for their time and space and that will range from 200 to 600 dollars.

Caterers:

There is a big range in costs for Caterers. If one goes through the venue it can range from  $25 dollars to $80 per plate. Also outside caterers can be considered and it can run from $10 to $30 depending on what they are serving.

Dress: The dress can range from $400 to $2000. The latest collections will get a premium cost but later collections will not be as expensive.

Photography, Photobooth and Video:

Photography and Video can range from 800 to 3000. Video is must especially for the waltz and the special dance. Photobooths can go from $500 to $800 depending if one wants the basic or want the upgraded features.
